Position Overview:  

We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing electrical design support for a wide range of projects, ensuring that designs adhere to industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed electrical designs and drawings for various projects, including power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems.

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to gather project requirements and develop effective electrical solutions.

- Prepare and review electrical calculations, load analyses, and equipment specifications.

- Create and maintain accurate documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and project reports.

- Utilize design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) to produce high-quality electrical drawings and schematics.

- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations for clients.

- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on design progress and timelines.

- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to ensure design implementation aligns with specifications.

- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical design.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.

- 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within an MEP design firm.

- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering tools.

- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., EIT, PE license, LEED accreditation) are a plus but not required.
